About Grande Provence

Historic 1694 Cape Dutch estate on the Franschhoek village edge, combining a serious art gallery, sculpture garden, restaurant and the flagship Grande Provence red blend.

Grande Provence pairs one of the most beautiful Cape Dutch werfs in the valley with a genuine contemporary art programme — the gallery rotates exhibitions of top South African artists and the sculpture garden runs among the vines.

History

Restored and repositioned in the early 2000s under a private owner, the estate combines the original 1694 werf with modern additions — the art gallery, restaurant, wine tasting terrace and boutique guest suites.
