About Steenberg Farm

The oldest farm in the Cape (grant 1682) and today a full destination — hotel, golf course, spa, two restaurants and a cellar known for benchmark Constantia Sauvignon Blanc.

Steenberg sits on the western edge of the Constantia Valley under the Steenberg Mountains. The farm's cool-climate Sauvignon Blanc is a genuine national reference, and the estate is a natural base for Cape Town visitors who want winelands quality without the drive.

History

Granted to Catharina Ras in 1682 — the oldest land grant to a woman in the Cape. Modern ownership rebuilt the property in the 1990s, adding the hotel and golf course, and the wine programme now sits at the top tier of Cape whites.
