Spier Wine Farm
300-year-old estate with a hotel, spa, restaurants, art collection and one of the Cape's biggest wine ranges.
About Spier Wine Farm
One of the oldest and largest wine estates in South Africa. A full destination with a hotel, spa, three restaurants, a raptor centre and a public art collection.
Spier is less a wine farm than a small village. Founded in 1692, the estate now spans a hotel, spa, three restaurants, conference facilities, a farm-to-table food programme, a raptor rehabilitation centre and a serious contemporary art collection.
History
Owned by the Enthoven family since 1993, Spier pioneered fair-trade wine, farm-to-table dining and public art in the winelands. The estate is a certified WWF Conservation Champion.
